Introduction
The instability of crystal vitamin C is mainly due to the 2-carbon on its molecule which is easy to react with oxygen. L-Ascorbyl-2-phosphate is a derivative of vitamin C charactered as high stability under the condition of exposing to light, air or heating through the locking of chemical active 2-carbon group on its molecular by esterification, while in digestive tract, L-Ascorbyl-2-phosphate can be converted into vitamin C through the hydrolysis of phosphatase. Hono C-35 (L-Ascorbyl-2-phosphate) is another brand-new stable vitamin C product developed by Honoroad. Its diverse advantages, such as great chemical stability, bioavailability and stability in water, make it very suitable for different types of expanding feed or pelleting feed.
High Stability
w Stability in Feed Pelleting
a) In Expanding Feed
The retention of Hono C-35 in expanding feed with processing temperature above 150℃ is at least 80%. However the retention of ordinary coated vitamin C and crystal vitamin C is 35.4% and 20.1% respectively. The retention of Hono C-35 improves 2.3 times and 4.0 times, which show that Hono C-35 is very appropriate for expanding feed. (Figure 1)

b) In Prawn Feed
In prawn feed, the retention of Hono C-35, ordinary coated vitamin C and crystal vitamin C is 88.9%, 35.1% and 30.2% respectively. It is to say that the relative efficiency of Hono C-35 is 294%, which tests the outstanding stability of Hono C-35 in feed processing. (Figure 2)

w Stability in Storage
a) In Complete Feed
After 90 days storage in prawn feed, the retention rate of Hono C-35, ordinary coated vitamin C and crystal vitamin C is 80.1%, 15.2% and 10.1% respectively. The relative efficiency of them is 793, 150 and 100 respectively, which shows the excellent storage stability of Hono C-35(figure 3).

b) In Feed Premix
The retention of Hono C-35, after 1.5 months storage in the premix, is far higher than both that of ordinary coated Vc and that of crystal vitamin C (Figure 4).
Figure 4-Comparison of storage stability in feed premix
w Stability in Water
The retention rate of Hono C-35 is 62.0% in spawn feed after soaking in sea for 5 minutes, but the retention of crystal vitamin C is just 7.8%. After 120 minutes, the retention of them decreases to 41.7 and 4.3% respectively, but the retention of Hono C-35 is 9.7 times that of crystal vitamin C.(Figure 7)

High Utilization Rate
w Absorption
Experiments show that Hono C-35, Hono C-stable, ordinary coated vitamin C and crystal vitamin C can be absorbed very well. The absorption of the four types of vitamin C is all above 90% when they passed prawn's digestive tract.(Figure 5)
Figure 5-comparison of absorption rate
w Accumulation in Liver and Pancreas
When different grades of Hono C-35 and Hono C-stable are added in feed, the vitamin C accumulations in the hepatopancreas of the South America white prawn ( Penaeus vannamei ) are found to be practically similar. This very fact shows that the utilization of Hono C-35 and Hono C-stable in animals is similar(Figure 6).
